GIVE KIDS A SMILE!®


Thank you to our volunteers who made Give Kids A Smile! a success on Friday, February 3, 2012, at the Dental Center of Northwest Ohio, Owens Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic, and the UTMC Division of Dentistry. 

Thanks too to Co-chairs Dr. Shea Walkup and Dr. Shabbir Hashim. 

The three events in Toledo were a part of over one hundred GKAS events across the state of Ohio, and the projected value of donated services for the three sites sponsored locally by the Toledo Dental Society is $200,000.

The total estimated donation by ALL of the dentists participating with the Ohio Dental Association with GKAS events in the state of Ohio is over 1.1 million dollars. 


Members -- Volunteer Your Dental Services beyond February 3. 

You're invited to volunteer throughout the year at the Dental Center.  You will be provided an assistant who knows the layout and for each four-hour segment of volunteer work, you can receive 1 hour of continuing education (up to 4 hours per biennium).  Call the Dental Center's President Lindy Cree at 419-725-2505 to schedule your volunteer experience and earn your continuing education.  Thank you!














 

MILES FOR SMILES TOLEDO


Have Fun - Get Fit - Give Back is the motto for Miles for Smiles, a Toledo Dental Society sponsored event that brings the dental community together for a day of fun, fitness and fundraising. 

Dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, staff, friends, family and patients become involved in the 5K run/walk to raise funds for access to care. 

The Dental Center of Northwest Ohio has been the past recipient of the Miles for Smiles fundraising efforts.  Since 1910, the Dental Center has been providing primary oral health services to area children, adults and seniors with limited access to oral health care. 

Join us on Saturday, May 19, 2012, for our next Miles for Smiles event.
